If you want to have success in life, then you must show up for your inner child.
Inside of you lives a little spirit, a remnant of your past, the faint echo of what once was the hope you had.
The child that you were remains alive in you today, influencing your emotions, dictating your actions, deciding your identity.
The unfortunate aspect of this is that oftentimes the identity this child claims is not positive.
The poor thing has carried around the weight of words it should have never been given. Days have turned to weeks, weeks to months, and months to years. Now here you are, that same child, just older.
Perhaps an adult, you've lost the hope and there's not much sparkle left in your eyes.
The weight of those words, whether spoken by tongue or by action, have only become heavier, cutting deeper as reinforced by lived experience.
While you're convinced that surely you failed, you mourn the youth that you were before things got intense.
But hear me when I say this.
Your inner child is not your loss.
Your inner child is your revival.
We are in fact all predispositioned to the resentment of our families from far behind. Perhaps you're a victim embodying the presumed failures you've been handed by those too afraid to face it themselves.
So this discontent for identity has been passed down. Some may call it a generational curse. You've been taught who to believe you are based on who they have been. However, that's it. It's only a belief. You have been bonded to it by blood.
That pain that is within your veins is begging for transformation. We are all hurting and we are all connected by that thin line of red blood carrying generations of trauma.
Not all of us, however, choose to subscribe to what we've been told nor the position we've inherited to play.
Some of us choose to sift our blood and sit with the hurt we find. We don't hide it nor hand it to someone else. We don't try to get rid of it. Instead, we sit down next to it.
We get comfortable and we allow it space to breathe.
Then after some time it finally looks like that child again.
The fire in this picture could mean destruction.
or it could mean passion.
The choice is yours.
Objectively, there remains a population inside of it.
So how you will show up for others is how you show up for yourself.
Choose to heal your inner child so that you may heal the world. After all, we are all tied by a Blood Bond.
